Dogs love to run free in open spaces. There are not any parks in Denver that allow dogs to run free. Dogs are only allowed off-leash in designated dog parks, which every dog owner knows are not very fun, nice, or safe spaces for all dogs.

Cherry Creek Dog Park

Cherry Creek Dog Park is a doggie dream come true! It is the absolute best (and closest) place to take Fido for an off-leash adventure. It is one of the largest dog parks in the United States. It's over 150 acres! It’s located at Cherry Creek State Park and is open year-round, from dawn to dusk. The park has a river and plenty of shade trees that make it easy on your pup as they play and stay cool during their time there. They will get dirty and there are several dog washes just outside the park.

What to consider before taking your dog off-leash

Talk to your veterinarian about the best way to keep your dog safe and healthy.
Make sure that your dog is well-behaved and has a good recall.
Make sure that they are vaccinated, trained, and socialized by you or a professional trainer.
