Real Estate Takes a Team, and My Team is On Your Side
I love my work as a realtor. Helping someone find a home, their perfect home that allows them to live the life they want, is an incredibly fulfilling process.
It’s also, unfortunately, a real big PROCESS sometimes.
Surprises pop up. Things go wrong. Communication breaks down. Rarely does a deal go off without a hitch.
I will tell you that over time, and with experience, I have lots of strategies and practices to deal with those surprises and breakdowns. These are two of my most important:
Work with experts who know what they are doing.
I like to say that “You don’t know what you don’t know” when it comes to houses, and what I mean is that in a very big and complex process, there are lots of nuances and details to keep track of, especially for first-time home buyers but even for people who have many transactions under their belt.
That’s why I make sure to work with people like Shane, one of my favorite mortgage lenders, and Ashley & Josh from Hamilton Insurance Partners, as well as amazing home inspectors and other professionals who know the ins and outs of their specific niche.
These people are great at their jobs, so when something unexpected happens, they have the experience and resources to know what to do as well as the personal service that I offer my clients as well.
Speaking of that personal service …
Relationships matter most, so treat people well
I have a little secret—a lot of real estate agents are in it for their own ego.
My ego is not tied up in getting you to the closing table, because my philosophy has always been that I want to get everyone you know who needs a house to their own closing table, and we only get there if I’m entirely on your side to the point that you tell those people about me.
I know that in the Denver real estate market I will inevitably see other professionals again and again, and so I communicate honestly, transparently, and courteously on behalf of my clients, and I make sure that my clients are informed and in the communication loop.
And I look for partners, like Shane and Ashley and Josh, who treat their clients the same way, who advocate for their best interests so much that they will even refer away business if another company is a better fit for a specific transaction.
A home is a big investment, and buying a home is a complex process. I think it’s much more successful, rewarding, and FUN to go through that process with a team who has your back. If you want to learn more about how I can help you make that happen, please call / email / text and we’ll set up a time to chat!
