Visualize to Start Your Home Search
Rates are likely dropping after a bumpy ride through the election season and inventory in Colorado is high—now is the best homebuying climate that the Denver area has seen in years.
If you’re starting to think about getting in the game and looking for a home to buy, I’m ready to show you around! Text, call, or email me to start the conversation.
If you’re thinking about looking but not sure what you’re looking for exactly, here are two exercises that can really help you gain clarity.
1. Grab a piece of paper and make two lists
For the first list, write down everything you like about your current living situation that you would like to stay the same.
For the second list, think about what is different about where you want to be compared to where you are now, and write all of that down.
This will help you get a handle on what is most important to you, and also what doesn’t matter as much. Knowing your priorities, and also where you might be able to compromise a little, will help us find the perfect place for you, and gives me some flexibility to find you the best deal.
2. Explore & Pretend
Love coffee? Pick a new neighborhood each week and see what it’s like to hit up their favorite local cafe.
Dog parent? Bring them to a new park each week to smell all the smells and meet all the local pups.
Cyclist? Stray from your favorite path and see if you can imagine yourself on some new streets.
You get the picture. When you buy a house the neighborhood kinda comes with it, and trying a few out might mean you fall deeply in love with one, or it might show you that you’re a little more flexible in where you’d like to live.
If you hope to purchase a home in the near future, it’s not too early to start thinking about it and preparing for it, and it’s definitely not too early to reach out to me and learn I can help make the process a lot easier for you!
